Trustees Appoint Michelle Zahn as New Board Member at Van Diest Medical Center

WEBSTER CITY, IA │ The Van Diest Medical Center (VDMC) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Webster City resident, Michelle Zahn, as the newest member to the Board. Michelle is filling the remainder of a term left open with the recent resignation of previous board member, Taylor Peterson. This appointment came following a selection process conducted by the Nominating Committee of the Board of Trustees.
Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree from Simpson College and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She served as an auditor and tax preparer for public accounting firms for over four years, then continued her career in the financial arena. She currently serves as the Controller at WCF Financial Bank in Webster City, with over 19 years of banking experience. In addition to her financial background, Michelle also brings board experience, having previously served eight years on the Webster City School Board. Michelle has two sons, both graduates from the University of Iowa, and two dogs.
Michelle will begin in her new role as VDMC Board Member effective immediately and will continue to serve in the position through the completion of the term ending December 31, 2024.
