The Van Diest Medical Center Foundation’s Annual Giving Campaign invites our community to invest in local healthcare. Support for this year’s campaign will enhance our new orthopedic service line, launching in January 2026, helping ensure high-quality care close to home. We will be seeing Dr. Somisetty at our hospital over the next two months, as he works with the Surgery Department to prepare to see patients, beginning in January 2026.
Among the more than 50,000 facilities represented, VDMC distinguished itself by ranking above peers in key focus areas including clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement and innovation. The survey evaluates the adoption maturity, outcomes and value of technology integration across healthcare organizations at all stages of digital maturity – from early phase digitization to advanced transformation.
This marks the second consecutive year the hospital has won the award
Patients of the Van Diest Family Health Clinic in Fort Dodge are now seeing their care team in a new spacious facility.
The clinic at 2419 Second Ave. N. replaces the one on the city’s west side.
The new facility was celebrated Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony conducted by the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance Ambassadors.
Dr. Allred joins his wife Giselle Allred, ARNP, who is also a provider at Van Diest Family Health Clinic in Webster City. He will begin seeing patients this week.
Lee Carlson, ARNP FNP-C, of Stratford, is the newest member of the Van Diest Medical Center (VDMC) provider team. He has been hired as a full-time provider in the Emergency Department.
Van Diest Medical Center’s Senior Life Solutions program is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging. As program therapist, Jordan Sisson, will be responsible for providing therapeutic services for patients utilizing group, individual, and family therapy sessions. They will focus on quality patient care and provision of services ordered by a physician.
