We are excited to launch a new mobile registration process at Van Diest Family Health Clinics and in the Specialty Clinic at Van Diest Medical Center, effective next Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

This process will allow patients to complete the pre-visit registration from their own device (any smartphone or personal device) ahead of their scheduled appointment. The automated solution integrates with our electronic health record (EHR) and is HIPAA-compliant, securing patient privacy and health records.

We are partnering with Epion Health to offer this convenient, efficient process to save patients time when arriving at our clinics and ensure their health records are kept up-to-date.

A few days before an appointment, a text message will be sent from 877.658.0828 (Epion Health) with a link to the website where patients will start the check-in process. This is a very simple and easy process!

Patients will confirm their date of birth and their zip code initially for verification. Then they can upload their insurance card, upload their driver’s license, enter contact information & demographics, accept the Conditions of Admission and other consents necessary, sign and the process is COMPLETE!

Patients will use this process for every appointment going forward, however after the initial registration, the process will be much quicker with the answers saved in the EHR. Patients will need to physically check-in at the Registration Desk once they arrive for their appointment.

The mobile check-in is the first of a two-step process we are offering our patients for ease and convenience with appointment scheduling. The second part will be a self-scheduling online appointment platform to optimize patient access for an improved experience, which will be done with a software solution through DocASAP. This second phase is coming soon; a firm date has not been confirmed for the GO LIVE of DocASAP.
