Seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specialized in Mental Health / Behavioral Health to join a thriving, busy family health and multi-specialty clinic with 17 providers. If you are highly skilled, compassionate, fast-learning, dependable, and you share our passion for delivering the highest quality care, we invite you to join our team.

We are currently hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specialized in Mental Health or Behavioral Health to play a multifaceted role on our collaborative team. This individual will practice in the Webster City area. Work collaboratively with Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, and LISWs, along with a full clinic staff in an upbeat atmosphere with a loyal patient following.

The successful candidate will be offered a $20,000 Sign On Bonus.

Practice Specifics:

A healthcare anchor in the county, Van Diest Medical Center is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital newly constructed in 2010 with a new Family Health Clinic attached and constructed in 2016, all in one location. The hospital has a management affiliation agreement with MercyOne in Des Moines, Iowa. Three additional clinics complete the Van Diest Medical Center healthcare network; all four clinics achieving Rural Health Clinic Accreditation in 2017.

  •        Average clinic patient volume per day (per FP provider):  25-30
  •        Average hospital inpatient census:  10
  •        Average ambulance runs per month:  110-120
  •        Average annual ED visits:  6,500

Requirements

NP EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and a Nurse Practitioner program recognized by the Board of Nursing or from a program otherwise designated for Family Nurse Practitioners which has been approved by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Must have current Iowa license as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Must have current federal and state DEA licensure and maintain BLS certification.
  • Additional national certification in a specialty area is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner is desirable.
  • Must have credentialing ability on all professional levels
  • Must be able to act calmly and effectively and respond in a professional manner in busy and/or stressful situations
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing. Bilingual preferred.
  • Must have ability to work independently as appropriate to level of training and experience.
  • Must have the ability to relate effectively to patients and families, as well as providers and other
