Job Details

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all types of maintenance repair and maintenance schedules.  Within 6 months of hire have completed the National Association of Power Engineers School or has a boiler operators license. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform all other duties of General Maintenance as assigned.

Day Shift, 8 hours shifts with on call every three weeks.

Preference given to applicants with plumbing, electrical or HVAC experience; however experience is not required.

Wage commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • Within 6 months of hire must pass the National Association of Power Engineers School and receive a certificate or is a licensed boiler operator.
  • Previous general maintenance experience necessary; in building maintenance technique, equipment and operation of plumbing, heating, boiler control systems, some basic knowledge of refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of fire and safety regulations and procedures desirable.
  • Must have a current Iowa Drivers' License and must maintain a driving history acceptable to the Hospital’s insurance carrier.
